Funeral: The Mourning Widow (Freeing SG)

Funeral: The Mourning Widow (Freeing SG)
The Story: You arrive at your friend’s funeral but find the door to the funeral parlour locked. You can’t seem to contact his widow so you need to break in…

The Experience: Damn, this room is so scary. Gorgeously decorated with a few choice scares here and there. This room is being sold as the ‘VR Escape Room’. The VR doesn’t play a huge part but the VR and the room itself together make it pretty worth it. The puzzles are straightforward (there’s a list of things to solve given. There’s also the usual ‘search’ for items which is made hard due to the sheer number of props and decorations in this room. The puzzles also trigger some very cool things. If you can get over your fear (I couldn’t), it’s solvable. My main gripe is that while the story remains thrilling and terrifying throughout, it gets a little weird and confusing towards the end.

Who is it for? Brave souls, not kids. If you all like being scared, then go ahead and play with a small group of 3 – 5. Else, grab a whole bunch of 6 – 9 friends and go. I’d also strongly advise you to have a friend or two who can read/write Chinese as some of the puzzles have Chinese reading and writing elements in them.
